Music veteran and versatile drummer Elga Edmonds, nephew of the legendary Muddy Waters drummer by the same name, leads Blue Smoke with sincere vocals while weaving intricate, percussive drum and cymbal patterns.
Guitarist Orpheus Golden sears ears with fiery blues, then slips into a funky reggae or launches an epic jam.
With improvisation based grooves, Greg Iteen intertwines slaphappy funk outs with psychedelic jams creating momentum-filled crescendos of thunderous energy.
Under the influence of legendary icons of the past like Sly Stone, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, The Meters, The Grateful Dead, P-Funk and Bob Marley, Blue Smoke delivers a new brand of original funky psychedelia that has audiences spinning, and, although a newcomer on the Chicago scene, music lovers of all ages are embracing the vibes of the live Blue Smoke experience.
